SPAICY COMIC

The sky over Lailen was clear, and a fresh breeze swept through the cobbled streets of the peaceful town.
Cozy houses adorned with flower-filled pots lined both sides of the stone path, radiating warmth and life. The atmosphere was filled with a comforting tranquility: the markets buzzed with a calm, unhurried activity, and people went about their routines with smiles on their faces. Laughter echoed in the distance, mingling with the murmur of friendly conversations, while the air carried the sweet scent of fresh fruit and newly cut flowers.

Spaicy, Rex, and Mint walked down one of the main streets, leaving behind the recent chaos and briefly enjoying the normalcy that still reigned.

—“Aaah~ I feel so much better now! Thanks for taking care of me, guys!” —exclaimed Spaicy, stretching her arms with joy.
—“I’m glad to hear that!” —replied Mint with a sweet smile.
—“According to this, we need to head southwest to reach Grichkor,” —said Rex, checking his wrist device.

But at that moment, a loud crash shattered the calm. A massive explosion thundered in the distance, and a column of black smoke rose into the sky. A horde of monstrous birds flew overhead, screeching sharply. Their membranous wings flapped desperately as they headed toward the city.

—“It looks like it’s coming from the power plant!” —Spaicy shouted in alarm.
—“Beasts incoming! Run!” —warned a local, pointing to the horizon.

The townspeople began to flee, some carrying bags, others holding children in their arms. Spaicy, Rex, and Mint immediately sprang into action.

—“Let’s go, guys! Charge!” —yelled Spaicy, readying her magic whip.
—“Quick, this way!” —called Mint, guiding civilians to a safe alley.

Guards arrived quickly to contain the threat and stop the beasts.

—“Guards, block the path before the beasts reach the city!” —a soldier ordered.

The horde of winged beasts descended on the town like a living storm, filling the sky with piercing shrieks and maddened shadows. The creatures dove wildly, clawing the air with their talons and frantic wings.

Chaos broke out instantly.
Spaicy pushed through the guards and began attacking with her whip. With swift, precise movements, she lashed at the creatures, snagging their necks or wings and slamming them to the ground.

—“Rex, to your left!” —she shouted without missing a beat.
Rex, sweaty but focused, turned just in time. His powerful scorpion tail lashed out, hitting a beast mid-dive and sending it crashing back into the air with a shriek. Paralytic venom bubbled at the tip, ready for use if needed.

Mint moved through the chaos with surprising grace, her floating ring acting like a magical shield. Each time she spun it with force, it released an energy wave that stunned nearby beasts. At the same time, she guided civilians with a clear and firm voice.

—“This way! Follow this path, it’s clear!”

Guards wielding long spears and riding delfoidea mounts engaged in close combat with beasts that made it to the ground. Their voices rose in the melee, mixing with the monsters’ screeches and the desperate cries of civilians.

—“Defend the square! Don’t let them reach the houses!” —shouted a captain, blocking a creature’s path with a precise sweep.

Terrified citizens ran into alleys and shelters, some helping the wounded, others hiding behind whatever they could find. Flower pots shattered on the ground, awnings tore apart with every wing flap or swipe. Overturned carts, rolling fruit, and panicked cries filled the air with a chaos that turned the peaceful town into a battlefield in seconds.

Gradually, the chaos began to subside. The guards and Spaicy’s team were containing the threat. The creatures started to retreat, civilians found shelter, and the city—though shaken—was beginning to breathe again.

But just when it seemed under control, one enormous bird broke from the flock and dove down the main street, charging with wild strength and shattering the fragile calm once more.

—“Perfect, this one’s the last!” —Spaicy muttered, a spark in her eyes.
Without wasting a second, she tossed one end of her whip to Rex.
—“Rex, grab it!”
—“Wait, what are you—?” —he began, reflexively catching it.

At that moment, the creature struck violently. The whip tightened, and just as Spaicy anticipated, instead of stopping it, they were both dragged into the air. Mint, running in to help, was caught by the current and lifted with them.

Within seconds, the three of them were clinging to the bird’s back, wobbling like improvised riders.

—“I knew we could use it as transport!” —shouted Spaicy, pulling on the whip like reins.
—“You planned this?!” —cried Rex, holding on tightly.
—“Sort of!” —she replied with a huge grin.
—“I get it now! We’ll ride it to Grichkor!” —Mint said, thrilled by the craziness of the moment.
—“Exactly!” —affirmed Spaicy with a wink.
Rex looked back and saw the guards securing the area. The chaos had passed, and peace was slowly returning.
—“At least the town seems calmer now…” —he sighed in relief.

Surprisingly, the winged creature had calmed down. Spaicy was guiding it with the whip like a tamed mount, and the flight became steady. From above, they enjoyed a breathtaking view.
Below stretched Lailen, a charming city blending tradition and modernity. Off to one side was Rivaine, the fishing town, with wooden docks and barges lined up by the lake. Beyond that, among lush greenery, Grichkor emerged, with rustic and organic architecture—giant mushrooms and living structures entwined in harmony with nature.

The three watched in awe.
—“Snoworld is way more beautiful than I imagined from up here!” —Rex said, wide-eyed.
—“Look at those mushrooms! That must be Grichkor!” —Mint exclaimed excitedly.

Not long after their incredible flight, a powerful gust of wind struck them. The bird shook violently and shrieked. Spaicy lost her balance and was left dangling from the whip as it flailed in the wind. Unable to hold on, she was swept away, falling rapidly.

—“Spaicy!” —Rex and Mint cried out in unison.
She fell fast, but reacted just in time—activating her magic whip and using it to glide like a helicopter.
—“She’ll be okay…” —Rex said, trying to convince himself.
—“We’ll meet again soon…” —Mint whispered as Spaicy vanished into the clouds.

Meanwhile, the creature continued flying toward Grichkor, carrying the two friends onward to the next stage of their journey.

Later that night, Rex and Mint crash-landed among bushes and twisted roots. Grichkor was like no other place: mushroom-shaped houses, moss-covered stone paths, and a vibrant, improvised décor. Everything felt natural and colorful—artisan stalls, exotic plants, and handmade lanterns.

—“Uugh… you okay?” —asked Mint, brushing dirt from her hair.
—“I think so… rough landing… but that crazy bird brought us right here,” —Rex said, rubbing his shoulder.
Mint checked her wrist device.
—“Spaicy says she’s fine. She’s asking for our location.”
—“Thank goodness!” —Rex sighed in relief. Then he pointed—“Hey, look!”

Flickering lights shimmered in the village. As they got closer, they noticed the ground was covered in dark, twisted roots that seemed to have burst from deep below. Among them, a man lay partially trapped, gasping for air.

—“Sir, are you okay?!” —Rex asked, kneeling beside him.
—“The roots… they took everyone… that monster… Mallum!” —the old man gasped.
—“He’s trapped…” —Mint said with concern.

They began carefully removing the roots. Rex used his tail to pull the thickest ones, while Mint supported the man. Eventually, they freed him and laid him against a firm rock. Mint activated a first-aid feature on her device and applied a glowing bandage to his scraped arm, while Rex offered water from his canteen.

—“Thank you… kids…” —the man whispered, color returning to his face.
—“Mallum? Who is that?” —Mint asked.
—“Ah… the power plant chief… he used to come by, yes… selling us old relics, he said. But… they were lies… cheap fakes.
When we called him out… when we told him to his face… he went mad! Lost his mind!
His roots… cursed roots… they burst from his body like snakes… as if the earth obeyed his rage!
He attacked us… one by one… We couldn’t stop him… Too strong… too…” —he paused, breathing heavily.

—“Some of us escaped… mineral types… our bodies held out longer. But the others… the animal types…” —he closed his eyes with a long sigh.
—“He devoured them. Without mercy… as if they were just… food for his roots…” —he said, coughing hard.
—“Okay I don’t want to go anymore!” —Rex said, stepping back in fear.
—“We have to go!” —Mint grabbed his tail before he ran—“We can’t back down now.
I want to prove to the world—and to myself—what we’re capable of. I want Spaicy to be proud of us.
I don’t want to be the cowardly girl I used to be.”

Rex looked at her in silence. Then he nodded, understanding what was truly at stake.
The old man, still weak but more stable, raised a trembling hand and pointed to a path covered in roots that stretched ahead like a dark tunnel.

—“That way… with luck, there are still survivors. Please… stop that madman before it’s too late.”
—“We will!” —they replied firmly, and entered the root tunnel. Arches formed overhead, and green fireflies lit the way like floating stars in the dark.

Meanwhile, Spaicy moved through the forest alone. Rain had begun to fall—light, but steady—soaking her blue hair. Leaves crunched under her boots, and the wind mingled with a distant murmur.

—“If I’m not mistaken… we must be pretty close to Gri—”

A piercing scream interrupted her, echoing through the trees.

—“Heeelp!!! Somebody stop him! He’s destroying the whole town!”

Spaicy rushed downhill and soon found a wooden sign: Rivaine. The fishing port was in chaos. Rain pounded hard, the sea roared, and waves slammed against the stilt houses. People fled toward the docks while others tried to hold back what looked like an invisible threat.

Spaicy spotted a figure moving wildly in the shadows. From afar, it seemed to be tearing through the village with no reason. Then, a lightning bolt tore through the sky, lighting the scene for an instant… revealing a towering warrior with gleaming lobster-like pincers under the rain.

—“Huh? Could he be a Luxbell ally?” —Spaicy muttered, confused.

Their eyes locked for a brief moment, thick with tension. His eyes burned with fury; hers, with resolve.
He stared at her with a threatening gaze, as if sizing her up.
She, in turn, narrowed her eyes, ready to face him.
She wasn’t about to let him destroy the town without stepping in.

To be continued…
